Dressmaking is one the biggest and essential parts of garments production, in our country and even in the whole world. Garments produce clothing which is an important part and parcel of every people’s life. The garment was used to make their clothing or products using garment manufacture. This process is very important to produce such an important product like cloth.
Dressmaking has 3 important parts which are essential to produce cloth. Those parts are:
- Blueprint making.
- Cutting the goods.
- Stitching Goods.
Blueprint making: Blueprint making is one of the most important parts of Dressmaking. Blueprints can be given by the buyer or the garments can make their blueprint according to the marker or buyer’s demand.
Sample Making: Sample making starts by following the detailed instruction and blueprint which was given by the buyer or the garments. After making the sample, the garments send it to the buyer and the employee who is working under the garments and their work are to show the sample to the shop owner. If the shop owner liked the sample based on the fabric design and the price, they order the sample from the employee and the employee sends an order copy to the Garments.
Group Making: After confirming the order the buyer and the shop owner suggest the size of the fabric, color ratio, design, or a logo of the shop which could be added to the fabric. Group mainly made by the fabric size and divided by genders. Like some fabrics are made for males and some for females.
Marker making: Marker making is used to cut the fabric exactly and easily according to the given size. Marker making is also an important part of Dressmaking. This process can be done both manually or using a computer machine.
Material Spreading: material spreading means spreading the fabric inlay form to cut the fabric according to size. This process also can be done both manually or using a computer machine.
Cutting the goods: Cutting is the 2nd most important part of Dressmaking. After spreading the fabric, cutting it according to the size is very important to give the fabric a unique shape.
Parts Preparation: Individual parts are made in the preparation section of the garments. These parts are like a shirt collar, sleeve cuffs, sleeves are made in shirt manufacture. So many different types of cloth and products are made in different manufactures.
Printing and embroidery: Garments printing and embroidery are different parts from the main parts, but it is an important part because if the buyer wants to add some printing or embroidery on the cloth design, then the printing and embroidery section works to complete the demand of the buyer.
Package Making: Making a Package according to the group size is also important to work to do. The package helps the product to look good and decorated and also the packages save the product from getting scratch or dirt.
The package needs to be the exact size as the product’s size So that the products can fit on the packages. Different size products need different size packages, so the garments need to be made according to each group and size.
Stitching Goods: Stitching Good is the 3rd most important part of Dressmaking. After cutting the fabric, stitching gives the fabric a perfect shape and size. This process can be done manually.
Assembly Section: This section is used to assemble components in different steps.
There are so many different types of fabric that can’t sew in the same machine.
Each type of fabric needs different types of machines. So the fabric needs to assemble according to the types of fabric and sewing machine.
Garment Washing: Garment washing is important to remove dust from the fabric. This process costs much because most of the fabric needs to wash. The garment isn’t used to wash the cloth. If the buyer requests to wash the cloth and pay for the washing cost then the garment washcloths or the fabrics.
Inspecting the Goods: Inspecting is a part of garments manufacturing which is very important to know if the product is good to deliver or not. It also helps to recognize the quality of the products and problems. The Inspection team inspects all the products, again and again, to find any type of issue and effectively solve the issue. The inspection team has the right to take any decision to cancel the product.
Iron and Packaging the goods: Ironing and packaging is a part of Dressmaking. After making the products ready, Ironing makes the product look good and attractive. The packaging is the final step to making the products ready to deliver.
Reviewing the product’s quality and mistakes: Reviewing is an essential part of garments manufacturing. The products are again sent to the inspection team to review the quality and mistakes. Some mistakes could not be found on the first time inspection by the inspect team but the 2nd time review can find those mistakes and solve the problems.
Canceling the defective product: The review team will complete the final inspection and if they find any defective product, the team will cancel it and also send a list of canceled products to the management team. The management team will collect the defective products and will also try to solve the problems as soon as possible.
Storing the faultless and accurate product: After canceling the defective products, the review team will store the faultless and accurate products for delivery to the buyer. They also make a list about how much of the products are exactly accurate to deliver and also send the list to the management team. The management team will collect the accurate products and make arrangements for the product shipping.
Cartooning Goods: Completing all steps before delivering the products, cartooning the good is an essential part of Garment manufacturing. Cartoon used to minimize the damage of the garments. Every garment has its cartoon design, according to the buyer’s instructions. Some buyer likes to make the cartoon according to their company name or logo, so the garments have to arrange or manage the cartoons according to the buyer’s demand.
Delivering goods to the buyer: After cartooning the products, the final step is to deliver the products to the buyer. Every garment has its transport services to deliver the products to the buyer safely. The transport service will deliver the products and collect a receipt or a confirmation paper from the buyer and submit it to the management team.
